Ingleside links with Stepanek Foundation, moving toward becoming Peace Community
Mattie J.T. Stepanek spent his last years living in King Farm in Rockville, writing poetry and challenging others with his message of peace.
That message was embraced Tuesday, when residents of Ingleside at King Farm, a continuing care senior living community, began the process of becoming the nation’s first large Peace Community, as certified by the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation.

Retired Rockville Couple Keep Young Poet’s Message Alive
A retired couple living at Ingleside at King Farm is keeping alive the memory and messages of Mattie Stepanek, the 13-year-old best-selling poet who died in 2004 from a rare form of muscular dystrophy.

German Soccer Star Adds to ‘Spirit’ at Rockville Retirement Community
German star soccer player, Conny Pohlers, is now the third Washington Spirit player to move into Ingleside at King Farm (IKF), a continuing care retirement community in Rockville, MD. A recent signee with DC’s professional women’s soccer team, the 34-year-old striker joins Spirit teammates Diana Matheson and Robyn Gayle who have called Ingleside at King Farm home since March.Read Full Entry
