Our leaders are devoted to keeping Ingleside at King Farm at the leading edge of the retirement living industry.

 

Christine L. Podles

Michelle F. Kraus, LNHA, MHSA   
Executive Director

"IKF exhibits a group of dedicated and loyal people who form a united community of exceptional residents and staff members."

Michelle is a Senior Executive with over 22 years of experience in Long Term Care. Most recently, Michelle served as Vice President of Operations for Vero Health Management overseeing four long term care facilities in Massachusetts and Georgia. The majority of Michelle's leadership and operations experiences derived from her 18 year tenure as Senior Administrator at Arcola Health and Rehabilitation Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. She consistently achieved operational excellence in areas of Quality Assurance Performance Improvement, CMS Five-Star Quality Ratings, Joint Commission Accreditations, annual Federal/State regulatory survey results, financial profitability, fiscal activity, employee stability and customer satisfaction. Michelle has a proven ability to formulate performance-based business and strategic decisions, and utilize her analytical talents to yield compelling results. Her ability to motivate and lead others stems from a passion to educate, counsel and empower individuals professionally. She believes in valuing the integrity and dignity of others while triumphing in the respectful delivery of person-centered quality of service.

A Graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a Master of Health Services Administration from The George Washington University, she spent the duration of her academic career as an active member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society. Michelle has held an active NHA license since 1997. She maintains her certification as a preceptor to mentor and coach administrators who are in training. She is a recipient of the 2008 Administrator of the Year Award from the Health Facilities Association of Maryland. She lead Arcola Health and Rehabilitation Center in achieving the 2012 American Health Care Association (ACHA) Bronze Award-Commitment to Quality. In 2009, Michelle was appointed by the Governor to the Maryland State Board of examiners for Nursing Home Administrators. In 2016, she was selected to act as the Board Chairperson. Michelle is a long term resident of Montgomery County where she resides with her husband and family in the Lakelands/Kentlands community. Michelle’s younger son is a freshman at Quince Orchard High School and her oldest son is currently a freshman in the scholars program at the Smith School of business at the University of Maryland.

 

Ellestad

Anne Ellestad
Chaplain

Anne Ellestad most recently served as the Director of Pastoral Care & Counseling at a local retirement community – where she worked for the past 10 years.  Prior to that she was a Chaplain for Montgomery Hospice.  Anne graduated from Yale Divinity School and is a Board Certified Chaplain.  As Interim Chaplain of Ingleside at King Farm, Anne is available to all members and staff for spiritual support, leadership in weekly Vespers worship, and simply caring when called. Anne and her husband, Chris, live in Damascus with their 3 boys, 2 cats and 11 chickens.

 

Andrea Hopkins

Human Resources Manager

"I am honored to be a part to the IKF team! I enjoy connecting with staff and ensuring they have the resources they need to be an integral part of the success of the IKF community! "

Andrea grew up in Rockville, Maryland. She received her degree in Political Science at the University of North Carolina–Greensboro. Andrea previously worked in sales as an Account Executive for a local Herman Miller Furniture Dealership before finding her love of Human Resources and choosing to make Human Resources her second career. While at IKF she has moved from HR Assistant to HR Generalist and currently holds the position of Human Resources Manager where she oversees the human resource functions for the staff at Ingleside at King Farm. She earned her SHRM CP certification in 2016. Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband and twin daughters, her dog and traveling to other countries.

 

Christine Bair

Director of Dining Services

"I am excited about being on the Ingleside team.  Everyone I work with is passionate about their job and take pride in what they do."

Christine graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with a degree in dietetic technology and then The University of Maryland University College, with a degree in Business Administration.  For 13 years, she worked as a kitchen manager and dietetic technician at the Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents in Rockville before making a change to senior living. Christine has worked as a Director at HCR Manor Care in Chevy Chase and Golden Living in Westminster, MD. Christine started her career at Ingleside at King Farm as a Clinical Nutrition Manager, was promoted to Assistant Director of Dining and currently holds the position of Director of Dining Services. Christine loves the interaction with the resident and staff at Ingleside at King Farm, she likes the everyday challenges in her job.

 

Bryan Bennett

Executive Assistant

Bryan was born and raised in the Montgomery County area. He received his degree in Visual Communication/Marketing at Salisbury University. With 3 years' experience in the Health Care industry, Bryan comes to us eagerly and ready to perform. Prior to starting his journey with Ingleside, Bryan was the Human Resources Manager for a home healthcare agency called Senior Helpers. During his time there, Bryan cultivated a deep love for retirement communities and their residents. In his free time, Bryan loves to continue working on his photography, graphic design and caring for his Teapot Yorkshire Terrier.

 

Kate Kavitski

Kate Kavitski, MA, CDP, RDT
Independent Living Administrator

"Ingleside at King Farm is brimming with talented, smart, and highly creative individuals. I am thrilled to be a part of this one-of-a-kind community."

Kate Kavitski has had the privilege of serving senior living communities for over a decade. Her background includes a degree in Psychology and Theater from Ithaca College and a Master’s degree in Drama Therapy from New York University. Professionally, Kate began in the Life Enrichment field where she grew as a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) and Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). Her experiences with seniors range; she has served as a creative arts therapist to residents residing in memory care and skilled nursing communities, veterans coping with PTSD and those at the end of life. She has assisted in the development and strengthening of culture change programs, providing trainings, education, and ongoing hands-on assistance to engage all staff and residents in person-centered living. Kate is honored to serve as IKF’s Independent Living Administrator. A resident of King Farm, IKF is her second home, and the residents of IKF, her second family.

 

Emmanuel Egei

Abdo Karmouch
Director of Plant Operations

Abdo started his career at our sister community Westminster at Lake Ridge in 2000, beginning with the dining team, working through the different departments, and overseeing the Plant Operations Department. Along with his 16 years of experience in working with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical and renovations, he is also a Certified Professional Maintenance Manager. Born and raised in Lebanon, he continues to have a passion for cars and collecting watches. Abdo has one son serving in the United States Navy as well as two young daughters. When he is not at Ingleside at King Farm, he enjoys travelling with his children and spending time outdoors with them.

 

 

Emmanuel Egei

Sheila Walker
Director of Sales

Sheila is a senior living professional with over 20 years of experience serving older adults and their families. Her previous roles have included Assisted Living Executive Director and Senior Living Sales Leadership positions. Sheila believes that partnering with prospective residents and their families through the journey of finding a new lifestyle is not only a pleasure, but an honor. Sheila enjoys traveling, family vacations, shopping, and spending time with her husband, 3 sons and 2 dogs.

 

 

Debbie Loube

Debbie Loube, CASP
Manager of Community Engagement

"Ingleside at King Farm has been my universe for the last ten years. I come to work with the same excitement after ten years of working here, and being with our residents is what recharges me. I have learned so much about life, what it means to give of yourself, and why you should order medication through the mail."

Debbie is a native Washingtonian. She grew up in Montgomery County, graduated from Winston Churchill High School, and got her degree in Political Science from The George Washington University. After 20 years in the dry cleaning industry, she and her husband sold their businesses, and Debbie found a new career. She started at Ingleside at King Farm in 2009 as the Lead Concierge, and then was promoted to Volunteer Coordinator and Concierge Manager. Debbie recently joined the Senior Leadership Team as the Manager of Community Engagement, which is a part of the Resident Services Team.

 

Vicky Ragasa

Director of Nursing

Vicky Ragasa, graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science and Nursing Degree from Centro Escolar University in Manila, Philippines. She has been working as a Registered Nurse for 22 years, and worked in a hospital as a charge nurse, and in Long Term Care setting for 14 years. Within those 14 years, Vicky was a ADON/Infection Preventionist for 8 years before transitioning to a role in a continuing care retirement community.

Vicky was born in the Philippines and raised by her grandfather. That’s when she decided she wanted to be a nurse, so she can take care of her grandfather and parents. Vicky loves interacting with residents and engaging with their daily activities, listening to their own stories, and preferences.

 

Vicky Ragasa

Sara Woodward
Director of Life Enrichment

"Ingleside at King Farm is a community of engaged residents and staff who collaborate in many different ways to foster a community living experience that is energized, creative and inclusive. It is an honor to be a part of this one-of-a-kind community."

Sara Woodward grew up in Manassas, VA and is a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and Certified Dementia Practitioner. She recently complete the Master of Music Therapy degree at Shenandoah University, focusing on the impact and scope of music therapy in senior living communities. Sara is dedicated to furthering access to creative arts therapy for individuals of all ages. She started at IKF as the music therapist in 2017 and has previous experience providing music therapy in retirement communities and hospice. Sara believed in importance of life long opportunities for creativity, connection, and learning. As Director of Life Enrichment for Ingleside at King Farm, Sara supports programming in all levels of care, ensuring quality, innovation, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and connection.  In her free time, Sara enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their corgi, Toby.

 

Cody

Cody Christian, LNHA, CDP
Healthcare Administrator

Cody Christian has had the privilege of serving Ingleside at King Farm since 2015 as the Fitness Manager before completing his Administrator in Training program and receiving his Nursing Home Administrator license in October of 2020. His background includes a degree in Public Health Education and Promotion from the University of Minnesota - Duluth.

Cody works from a holistic point of view including physical, emotional, social, environmental, spiritual, occupational, and intellectual wellness. He is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Senior Fitness Specialist and LEAN Sigma Six trained. In his free time, he enjoys running and playing volleyball. He is honored to continue his professional career as IKF’s Healthcare Administrator.
